With a NetBotz 450, how is the administrator authentication phrase added to a PCNS shutdown alert as there appears to be no option for this?
The PowerChute agent installed on a server requires the administrator authentication phrase to be used (or is there an option to disable this?).

Hi Dave,
When you installed PCNS, I believe this was an option. You should also be able to find it on the NMC that PCNS was originally configured to communicate with. You should find this on the shutdown configuration page on the newer firmware:

Hi Steve, thanks for responding quickly. As the NetBotz 450 can send out a PCNS command, I would like to use this rather than using an NMC, or does the NetBotz have to send the signal to an NMC, which then sends out the shutdown command to servers?
If I can use the NetBotz directly, then how do I add the administrator authentication phrase to the NetBotz alert as it does not appear as an option in Advanced View (v4.6.2).
Thanks

Hi Dave,
The initial install of PCNS has to communicate to the NMC. The NetBotz can then communicate to the PCNS client and shut down the server and potentially the UPS should PCNS be configured to do so.
