Hello All,
I have a number of MODBUS RS485 devices that I would ultimately like to be able to monitor in DCE. While I know I will eventually need a DDF the first challenge is to get the RS485 (Serial) MODBUS converted to MODBUS/IP. I am thinking about using the Schneider 174CEV30010 Modbus to Ethernet Bridge and wanted to know 1) will that work? and 2) what are others already using out there, ie is there a better way?
Thanks
Craig

Hi Craig,
We are using the Schneider TSXETG100 Modbus Ethernet Gateway in multiple sites to connect to our power meters and NSX Circuit Breakers via the TVR00210 Modbus interface module to DCE

Is Schneider EGX300 compatible with DCE7.24 and higher? Since version DCE 7.24 I have problem with timeouts on ethernet side.

DCE is not suitable software for MODBUS devices. Since version 7.24 is not compatible with Modbus devices. See: Problem with MODBUS devices timeouts on DCE 7.2.4-7.2.6.
Almost two months I have no solution from the Schneider.
Better tools for MODBUS devices is Shneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert.

So what is the resolution for Modbus discoveries? So we put two solutions at client side: PME for Modbus devices and DCE for SNMP?
