Hi,
I have that has DCE, and wants to monitor a site containing UPS's, CRAC's, Fire Panel.
These devices go communicate to a CREMS panel, via Modbus.
They have purchased an EGX150, and have sent a register map.
I know this has a lot of limitations, which I have explained to the customer.
Where can I send the register map to get these set up as a single device for DCE?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Luke Kimmich,
I think that this is quite possible and can be realized. But only, will it be convenient to work every day with this device, its sensors and alarms for the end user?
I am interested in this topic...
With respect.

Hi spezialist,
I tried to convince the customer to add as much devices via SNMP, but was told that they can only do it via Modbus.
Also, this is all communicating via one ethernet cable from the CREMs Panel.
Can I send the register map to support so they can create a DDF?

Dear Luke Kimmich,
I think this is very possible: use the Device Support web-page to create a new DDF-file request. On the above mentioned web-page there is a video instruction and the topic will help you to do this.
I hope this helps you.
With respect.

Dear Luke Kimmich,
An important practical addition: if the CREMS panel supports the assignment of individual SlaveID's, and if the end user does not have many devices for monitoring, it can be done so that for the DCE-server the CREMS panel will look like several different TCP/IP Modbus devices (one IP-address and several Slaves).
Thus, for the CREMS panel, it will be possible to create several small Modbus DDF-files (for each type of device for monitoring) and in the DCE-server it will be possible to separately discover the end user devices for monitoring on their individual SlaveID.
I hope this helps you 😀.

Hi spezialist,
No. I still have not heard anything from Device Support since posting the details.
The customer is chasing this up as well.
Kind Regards,
