Hi,
I visited a client who needs help to migrate to DCE Virtual platform. Currently they have an old Infrastruxure Central V6.1 physical server, which they want to remove.
They have lost the passcodes and don't want to purchase new node licenses, since they have already 500 node licenses on the physical server.
They don't have a Valid Service Contract.
My question here is if I ask them to take a new service contract for 500 nodes for 1 year, can we migrate the existing 500 node licenses to the new VM machine?
Thanks & Regards
Shemil

Hi Shemil,
If you put the server and licenses back under support, you should be able to contact tech support and they can help you transfer the license. K-base FA176117 may help in figuring out what is required.

P.S.
You'll still need to purchase the activation key for the VM server.

Hi Steven
OK...I think their support contract ended in 2013, so do they have to purchase contracts for the backdated years as well?

Hi Shemil,
I believe that is the standard practice, yes.
