Mapping devices to power outlets on EMA107-10

The Eaton EMA107-10 Rack Power distribution allows for managing individual power outlets.  Why can I not map individual machine power supplies to specific ports within DCO?  I want to be able to see power changes on individual outlets as an alarm condition within DCE.

Your last point first, I expect that alarms for changes in individual ports on your rPDU will be a function of the rPDU and therefore DCE, not DCO, and assuming it's SNMP, it may require work to the DDF and some alarm configuration.  As long as the rPDU "exposes" that level of detail, you should be able to see it in DCE.  (no help to you but for APC power rails, DCE also has an outlet control feature)

As far as DCO tracking power supplies to individual power outlets on an rPDU, I believe this is not a feature that exists today.  It's something I've pondered and discussed before and have always arrived at the same conclusion.  Due to possible administrative overhead in medium to large DCs, and the dangers associated with "getting it wrong", that info is better stored on the rPDU itself, and therefore available to DCE.  The External System feature of DCO may make this info available to DCO users via device mouse over (needs confirmation anyone?) or say, by right clicking on rPDU in DCO and launching a webpage of the rPDU that displays this info.   As long as you can craft a URL to take users directly to the power outlets page of the rPDU (assuming the rPDU has a web interface) then you can manually or automatically assign the URL to the rPDU in DCO for a right click launch feature for your DCO users.   At the very least you can launch the rPDU home web page from right click on the device in DCO and have users navigate to the outlets page

I can't speak for the DCO side of things but I'm looking at your DCE comment:

How are you looking for alarms? Are they alarms already existing on the device? That should nearly be automatic and potentially dependent on the DDF.

Are you looking to create thresholds on the outlets? If DCE can see an outlet status, you can manually create a threshold on that outlet. It would likely be "other state sensor" in thresholds.

If DCE can see the load on that outlet, you can create a manual threshold on the load which would likely be watts or kw. 

Please note that any manual threshold created in DCE is subject to the timing of the polling cycle for that device. DCE will only see a load or state change when the device is polled again after the change. Also note that if you right click a device and view sensors and you don't see these values or states, you will likely not be able to create said thresholds.
