When running an energy cost report in DCO, all APC manufactured PDU's seem to appear in the report, but non APC devices do not. Is this a known problem?
More specifically the behaviour with non APC PDU's is not consistent. Some Racks that have 2x PDU's in them show up in the report but have an energy usage value that appears to be exactly the same every day, others do not show up at all in the report. In DCE the PDU's are showing all the power data correctly. Also on these non APC PDU's some show the temperature in DCO but not others event thought the data is there in DCE. I suspect Schneider PM750 meters (connected to DCE via MODBUS) may also have a similar problem, but can't test that at the moment.
DCO is at version 7.5.0, DCE is at 7.2.5.

Hi Garry,
Apparently DCO is not receiving the measurements (from DCE) - most likely a ddf related issue and you might want to contact the multivendor support team ( multivendorsupport@apcc.com ) for getting new/customized DDF file(s).
From DCO side it is expected that the ddf files should contain the following sensors:
Power Sensors:
OUTPUT_POWER_WATTS
OUTPUT_POWER_TOTAL_WATTS
MODULE_OUTPUT_POWER or MODULE_BREAKER_POWER
Amp Sensors:
MODULE_BREAKER_CURRENT
OUTPUT_CURRENT
OUTPUT_CURRENT_TOTAL
INPUT_CURRENT
and for the Temperature Sensors:
EXTERNAL_TEMPERATURE
SUPPLY_AIR_TEMPERATURE
RETURN_AIR_TEMPERATURE
INTEGRATED_TEMPERATURE
Detail description available here: http://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/DCIMDEVELOPER/DCE+Sensor+Mapping+to+DCO
Kind regards

Spot on! I got the latest DDF from multivendorsupport for this type of device. Then I used SOAP UI to look for the sensors of one of the devices I knew was not returning data properly and all ISXCSensorType responses are UNKNOWN. (Except for one) On an APC PDU that does return the data correctly the SOAP UI responses showed ISXCSensorType as OUTPUT_POWER_WATTS etc (among others). Guess I will have to talk to multivendorsupport to change the DDF. Thank you
