Issues when adding an External ETL Import Database

Hi,

I am currently having issues attaching to an external import database, no matter what database i use as my server i am met with the below error when trying to add this in (i have tried MySQL and PostgreSQL)

Read parameter: 'db_type', Value: 'import'
Read parameter: 'db_version', Value: '1.0.0'
Read parameter: 'db_driver', Value: 'com.mysql.jdbc.Driver'
Read parameter: 'db_user', Value: 'etl'
Expected parameter was not defined: 'db_ips'HTTP/1.0 500 Perl execution failed Server: MiniServ/1.630 Date: Sat, 7 Feb 2015 00:27:40 GMT Content-type: text/html; Charset=iso-8859-1 Connection: close

Error - Perl execution failed
unable to proceed with missing parameters at /usr/share/webmin/operation-etl/manage_database.cgi line 73.

Can you please advise what i may be missing here? i have rebuilt the server twice from ISO and i still encounter the same error. This is in DCO 7.4.5

Many Thanks

Joe T

FIX:

I applied the Patch for StruxureWareDataCenterOperation-Webmin-Module-1.6-ETL-Patch.tgz and this fixed my Issue.

Hi Joe

Have you follow the very last step in the upgrade process described here:

Upgrading to StruxureWare Data Center Operation 7.4.5

There is a patch that should be applied for the external ETL databases.

Best regards,

Niels

Hi Joe,

Welcome to the community!

From the error message you've posted, it looks like you haven't filled out the "Allowed IP addresses" field on the configuration page. This field is required. Please see Configuring network connections in the ETL import database for the format needed.

I hope this helps!

Regards,

Torben

Thankyou for your reply Torben

I am getting this error when adding an External Database and unlike the Internal database there is no option onscreen to add the allowed IP's

Can you please advise where i would need to set the Allowed IP's for the external database?

Many thanks

Joe T

Hi Joe, you should be able to get it from your local service engineer that provided you with the 7.4.5 version. It is bundled with the ISO as well as the Upgrade file. Please let us know if that works. /Anders
