We use inline monitoring for L6-30 and L6-20 connections. We have 4 input to output connection we monitor. Is there a way to configure this in DCO 7.4?
Thanks

Hi Toby,
Thanks for clarifying that helped in understanding the setup. The setup you have got can be seen as sensor mapping since the monitoring device has 4 sensors each monitoring their own connection in this case. Unfortunately this is currently not support by DCE/DCO for rmpdu devices (as you have experienced). We are aware of the need for this feature. The work around as you describe would be the virtual sensors from DCE and then associating those in DCO to a setup as I described earlier with one rmpdu per connection.
There is a previous thread already discussing this which also talks about an ETL integration as a solution to this setup: http://dcimsupport.apc.com/questions/89064339/answers/89555647 however the virtual sensors should be a way around this.

Hi Toby,
I'm not 100%sure what is your setup.
But I guess you have inline monitoring at connection between rmpdu and server? If that is the case it would be what we call outlet metering. At present this cannot be modelled in DCO 7.4.
However you might by modelling a rmpdu per monitored outlet be able to associate your inline monitoring devices to each of these "rmpdu(s)"
Hope this makes sense otherwise please explain a little more in detail on your setup? Maybe a screenshot or drawing of the setup.

Good Day,
What you describe is close to what I am trying to do. It is not a one to relation where the outlets are concerned. I have the one inline metering device that has 4 outlets. What you suggest wouldn't work unless you can associate a discovered device to more then one DCO Device?
I could do it via virtual sensors but support for virtual sensors is not good in Operations. Thanks
Toby
