Invalid Network Address or time out on DCE Client

Hi Everyone,

I have an issue in DCE Client V7.8.1 when I try to Log in DCE server by DCE Client, I get the error ( Invalid Network Address or time out) in DCE Client. while I Can access the server by the web as shown in the attached Pics.

I tried to increase the time out, change the port number, using HTTP and HTTPS ports and they didn't work yet.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Invalid Network Address or time out on DCE Client

Hi Ahmed,

Try checking the client logs to see if there should be any useful info. Client log file usually located in Win. C:\Users\<username>\.isxc\7.8.1\.metadata\.log

If the client is unable to connect to server, then it might be network/routing related. Maybe something like firewall, antivirus program, proxy server, VPN, etc. 'located' between the client and server not permitting the desktop client to connect (but permitting the http/https connections).

Kind regards,

Jef

Re: Invalid Network Address or time out on DCE Client

Hi Ahmed,

It seems you are trying to connect (login) to servers private LAN, that is not supported for desktop client access.

Assuming the server is configured/setup properly, it should usually have 2 network interfaces: Public (LAN1) and Private (LAN2).
You can try to login via the IP address for the Public/LAN2 that you have assigned (configured during the installation).

Kind regards,

Jef

Re: Invalid Network Address or time out on DCE Client

Dear Jef,

I tried to connect to the server through Private and public Networks and it doesn't work for both.

Thanks.
