Hi Support,
We have received the below questions from a customer planning to deploy ITO, could these be answered so I can be sure that I pass back the correct info?
Thanks,
(CID:105471818)

Hello David
I'm pasting in some responses to your above questions below.
The DCE/ITO 8.0 release will officially support Windows 2012 and 2012 R2.
The logon as a service requirement is required by the ITO installer to add a service to the windows server which runs as the specified user account. The specified user account should not require local administrator rights, but it does connect to WMI on the local host (the ITO server) so the user account must have the ability to connect to WMI on the ITO server.
We are working on a patched ITO release called 7.5.1 which should allow connections to the newer browser releases as we updated some of the SSL connection requirements. Let me check on that.
To enable discovery of the DCO server a user account is enabled in the /etc/sudoers file on the DCO server which allows SSH discovery of the DCO server to complete. Technically this reduces security because an additional user account is allows to logon to the DCO server.
Yes, SNMPv3 will not be supported by ITO until its port into DCE has been completed. We are expecting to support SNMPv3 when that port is completed as DCE supports SNMPv3 today.
Hope this is helpful.

Hello guanyc Yes, it is possible to install the current ITO releases on a windows 2012 host. I will provide a work-around for you further below. I must state the following before doing so. ITO does work on windows 2012. The reason we do not officially allow ITO to be installed on windows 2012 is because some of ITO's embedded components are not officially supported on the windows 2012 platform. If you open a windows command terminal, change to the extracted folder which contains the ITO installer (the one you downloaded). Run the ITO installer from the windows command line with this command line option "--check_os_supported no" (note there are two dashes before the option). So it would look like this: C:\> ITO-installer.exe --check_os_supported no Regards Greg Sterling
