Hello,
we just installed DCE and DCO test server. We try now to launch DCO client but it fails to connect to server . There seems to be an issue with JMS connection.
We tested with telnet the following ports 4457,4460, 4459, 4462 and we can confirm they are opened between client and server.
Please find attached server and client log files.
Please can you help us with launching the DCO client?
Best regards,
Julien Lafont.

Hi Julien,
This might usually be a firewall/network issue. List of the required ports available here:
https://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/UAOp74/StruxureWare+Data+Center+Operation+Network+Firewall+Port+...
However, according to the shared logs it seems the detected memory on your server is almost 8 GB, which is not enough. DCO requires at least 16 GB RAM, otherwise it won't be able to start up.
Server requirement guidelines available here:
https://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/UAOp74/System+Requirements
Kind regards

Hello Jef,
thanks for your response but unfortunately it didn't help.
We did check all required ports were opened and we did increase server RAM to 16 GB but we still get the same error message...
What else would you suggest?
Best regards,
Julien Lafont

Hi Julien, According to the client logs, it seems this is a network related issue. com.apc.dsmf.client.webservices.event.QueueRemoteEventException: Inscription aux événements impossible. Cela est probablement dû à un problème de réseau. Rendez-vous sur http://www.dcimsupport.apc.com pour savoir quels ports doivent être ouverts et comment le vérifier. That is usually an indication of a) necessary ports need to be open or b) routing problem. I understand that you have already opened -and telnet tested- the necessary ports. However, it is most likely a routing issue, I would try "moving" the client close to server, eg. without a router in between. Kind regards

Hi Jeff,
we eventually managed to make DCO works on the VMware server, we had to increase memory for the proccesses to launch correctly.
It still does not work on our server in the cloud, probably network issue as you said but we do not know at the moment.
Best regards,
Julien.

Hi Julien, It sounds great that you've managed to make the DCO server to work. But unfortunately based on the info/logs, it seems the issue with your client is basically a network related (that might not be supported). So I would basically connect work station (DCO client) directly to the same network as the DCO server connected. Kind regards
