Having discovered devices in ITO via IPMI (mainly HPs iLO) I have found that admin access is required to bring back any data. Is there a reason why admin is needed?
Can any changes be made to ITO in order that a read only account would bring back the required metrics via IPMI (would make deployment a lot easier)?

Hello James. You are correct in that IPMI based discoveries initiate a connection over IPMI which requests administrator access. I will followup with the Intel team to get a status update regarding a previous feature request which would to allow us to change this behavior. Regards Greg Sterling

Greg Sterling Did you hear anything back from Intel? Have tried it with iDRAC and there is an option to choose the Channel Privilege Level Limit for IPMI over LAN. The options are Administrator, Operator, or User. Having tried each of them and set the local account level as the same it still only works with Administrator.

James, sorry for the delayed response. Intel recently responded stating they are planning to add the ability to set the user account level to their next product release (they cannot provide an ETA for this release yet). I will make sure our feature request is also updated with this information as we cannot update ITO to take advantage of this feature until the SDK's are available from Intel. Regards Greg Sterling
