Team
We have a customer with a Data Center Expert 7.2.7 and they want to upgrade the server. The server cannot perform a backup (it fails) and looking at the repository settings, it seems like the disk is full.
We began a manual purge process and added a new repository, but it seems to be hanging.
Is there some log files on the OS itself that can be deleted somehow?

Hi Christian,
The VM only has 4 G of space which means they're using only the default drive. The first suggestion I would make is to add another VM drive (do not increase current size).
The only way to reduce the amount of files stored in DCE is to run a purge. There is no other access to the files.

Hi Christian,
Another thing to think about is if the purge seems to be going on too long, maybe the amount of data coming in is too much. Besides increasing local space, maybe lower poll frequency. If using surveillance, lower frame rate, resolution, or even stop surveillance for a time.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your comments and suggestions.
The customer cannot find the login information for the VMware environment so I have suggested that they create a new server. Let's see.
Again, thanks!
