Hi guys,
Other than looking into server log where can I see and confirm that daily scheduled synchronisation have finished succesfully?
Ideally how can I monitor this and be notified once it is done every day (even if this would be an informational level notification from DCE for example).
DCO 7.5 SP5ni6.
Asking on behalf of daryl yeoh and Ryan Zhang.

Hi Lukasz
i owe you a call
logs file is only way afaik
no in built system for this I think but it's a common and easily solved sysadmin function. May even be able to use a webmin module but I think you're asking for a log watcher. Many moons ago I used swatch which would do the job but prob even better options now (if u need a better one).
A permanent process watches log files (server.log) and when a matching entry appears (you have powerful rules syntax e.g. Your specific export run at a specific time with specific result code) ) your required command is executed e.g send an email. Sadly DCE will not recv a trap but if it's mandatory I think I can make something close to a trap happen for u as well
U need a level of admin acces to DCO OS to install and run and u should configure the watch dog feature so the process will restart if it fails for some reason
i can help if u like. Should be a few hours work in dev. Getting it to prod is a different matter!
cheers

I agree with Ed in that the log files are probably your best bet. The server.log and etl.log files should contain the log entries. Can get a little more complicated if your customer has several ETL jobs with overlapping schedules.
There was a point at one of our larger customers we could guess whether the job was successful or not simply based on how long it took the job to execute. It was an etl export job in that case.
