Hi Team,
I have a project with DCE and DCO integration. I have rack PDUs from different providers, APC, Eaton and Dell.
In DCE I can see the power load of all PDUs, but in DCO when I associate the external devices to each rack PDU, I can only see the measured load of APC PDUs.
Is not possible to see in DCO the measured load of rack PDUs that are not from APC? I have the Capacity module installed.
Thanks in advance

Hi Javier
this is a DCE DDF issue. There are several posts about this (1 from me I think) and doco describing exactly what's needed. Have a search on EcoStruxure IT Help Center. If u still can't find repost and I'll try to dig it out
cheers

Thank You Ed,
I think I found It:
http://sxwhelpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/display/public/DCIMDEVELOPER/DCE+Sensor+Mapping+to+DCO
I requested the DDF files for these PDUs last week , could they be wrong? I checked the XML DDF files and seems they are ok, at least the OUTPUT_POWER_TOTAL OID exists.
Regards

Hi Javier
Perhaps older DDFs may need an update or two? I recommend going back to SE and specifying you need the rPDU DDFs to work with DCO:Capacity.
If you feel adventurous / want to confirm exactly where the problem lies, you can check exactly what DCE is presenting by using www.SoapUI.org and accessing the DCE device and sensor API for the devices in question.
Cheers

Hi Javier Zurera
This is embarrassing - I'd like to assist you - could you list the rack PDU's that you are having issues with? Or perhaps point me to the requests you have made for the DDF's.?
Best regards
Anders

Hi Anders,
now DCO import the power load from Eaton rPDUs in DCE but the values are not correct. I think DCO does not know with values has to import.
I think it should be the addition of Input1 Real Power1 and Input1 Real Power 2. I have attached pictures of both sytems.
With Dell rPDUs DCO does not import any data
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
these are the rPDU models:
Dell 6608 --> does not import load from DCE
Eaton eMAA13 --> import incorrect values from DCE
Eaton EMAB05 --> import incorrect values from DCE
APC AP8953 --> works fine

Hi team,
we have also another issue. With Eaton rPDUs we can see only humidity sensor in DCO, it does not import temperature values from DCE. With Dell and APC rPDUs both sensors work fine.

Thank you team,
these rPDUs are part of a pilot test that we are doing with Repsol in Spain. The scope of the final project is very big, including DCO and DCE deployment in all the data centers that Repsol have over the world.
For us is very important that these kind of rPDUs can be measured with DCO because they have the same rPDUs in all the data centers. For Repsol is a critical point to finally decide which DCIM provider they will contract.
So please, make your best effort to solve this problem.
Best regards.

Thank you Anders Thorbjørn Jensen and Amaresh.
We have realiazed thate there is also an error displaying the name of the Eaton rPDUs on DCO.The customer have a lot of Eaton rPDUs and is very difficult to iddentify which one belongs to each rack without the name, we have to check the IP address in both systems.
Maybe you can also fix this. These are the details:
In DCO in the field Label we see the model name of the rPDU:
You can see this information in the top right side of Eaton rPDU config page in the model field:
The correct name should be got from the field Hostname that is established in the Network settings page configuration:

Hello Javier Zurera,
We recently learnt that there currently does not exist a valid DCO mapping for any of the listed items (Input Power, Peak Power, Average Power, Peak Current). This information has been navigated to the DCE team to obtain further clarity on the possibility of providing DCO support and we are awaiting reply from the concerned team. Please do not test the DDF (Version 10) which was recently provided. We apologies for the inconvenience caused.
I will keep you posted regarding any updates from DCE team.
Regards,
Ragupathy Kandasamy.
