How to configure the gadgets of NetBotz and Pelco camera on StruxureWare Portal?

We have asked how to configure the gadgets of NetBotz and Pelco camera on StruxureWare Portal.

Both NetBotz and Pelco has Web Browser interface with Camera View, so they might be able to include in the gadgets on  StruxureWare Portal, but not sure what URL or particular Web Service API need to be configured using any community sample gadgets.

best regards,

Yoshi

Hi Yoshi,

Currently integration with Netbotz and Pelco is not supported in the StruxureWare Portal. We are aware of the need of this functionality.

As you say the Netbotz and Pelco has got a webinterface and those can be displayed using the "iFrame" portlet that is shipped with the StruxureWare Portal. The portlet must be configured using a URL from the camera device itself. I found in my setup using the URL:  /images/nbOwlEnc_0_CAMERA/ gives the picture from the camera at the given timestamp. This is only a picture and not a video feed therefore reload of the page must be done if video like functionality is needed.

Thanks Soren,

We expect the official gadgets to be provided for both directly.

I understand the current solution is only picture snap shot.  Is there any automatic update.

DCE has Web Client which can also show Video feed of NB Camera and Pelco through NB in that gadget.

Those seems to show up by the following URL including time stamp and switching 2 images continuously;

http://10.181.192.200/isxg/cameras/BA4CA04_nbRmtEnclosure_0_nbCamera_0/QVGA?timestamp=1410502761772" style="width: 320px; height: 240px;">

I hope this to be implemented in iFrame or other way.

As you may know these seems to be the API, we hope to find out the way by configuration using these.

Using the APIs would require a custom portlet to be developed. This is very much possible but would require a quote on the work needed to be done. In regards to the webfeed i'm not sure how the implementation was done on DCE? And for sure this is not the recommended direction to go. However it would be possible to refresh the page and thereby get a new picture from the camera.
