Hi All,
How long does it take for DCE to refresh a DNS name change on a device? or is there a way to refresh this sooner?
Thank You,
Matthew

Dear Matthew,
It should reflect as per your DCE device scan settings. You can also right click on a device and do request device scan for the changes to appear.
If you are referring to Hostname column of DCE for your DCEs, then I would also suggest to view the below K-base documents in case if host name fields are not getting updated.
http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA175073/
http://www.apc.com/ag/en/faqs/FA267667/
If you want the device identification to be reflected on DCE software in Label column, please make sure that the Device Identification is set on the devices web interface as shown below.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Bala

The server seems to have updated itself sometime within the last 72 hours. The column I was wanting to update is the hostname, this is provided via DNS lookups on both DCE and the device itself.
Thank You, and this to have been self resolved.
