When running reports on environmental conditions - particularly if you are running systems that use heavy economization, or some sort of free cooling - it would be helpful to be able to chart weather data.
The cause of an odd behavior change might be obvious with this information where it might be extremely difficult to diagnose otherwise.
How do I do this with DCE ?
I am sure there is a function, but I cannot find it in the manual.
I am not interested in an applet or gadget to put on the HTTP "dashboard" - those are of no use beyond the instant that you look at them. I am specifically asking about obtaining data from weather systems and saving that data along side your other node data.
the goal is to add this data to trend reports for analysis

Dear Eric Clark,
From your question:

If you mean getting a weather forecast from all sorts of international online weather systems, then maybe it can only be Feature requests.
For itself, it is practically and much more realistic for the current DCE-7.x software – is to purchase a weather station (for example, for measuring the outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, etc.) with an SNMP or Modbus interface. Then make a request on the resource Device Support to develop the corresponding DDF-file and get it for free. Then import this DDF-file into DCE software, and use the weather station sensors in your reports for later analysis.
Do not forget that instrumental weather measurements at the exact location of the data center are often much more accurate, than similar weather data (not weather forecasts) from international online weather systems.
I will be interested in your opinion on the above.
With respect.

Dear Eric Clark,
By the way, if we talk about various free cooling systems, then they necessarily have an Outdoor temperature sensor. Thus, these sensors can be used in your DCE software reports for later analysis of trends, etc.
This is the simplest solution 😀.
