Hello,
I have a DCE 7.6 server monitoring a number of Netbotz 450 devices.
How do I configure a communication alarm / link state alarm in DCE so that it can notifiy me if it loses communication with the Netbotz 450 device ?
It looks like it is logging a critical alarm when I unplug the 450 from the network as a test but DCE is not sending me an e-mail alert indicating that the 450 is un-reachable.
I only get the link state alerts directly from the 450 itself once it is back on the network which is not overly useful.
Steve

Dear Steve McLaughlin,
In short, the current DCE-7.x software sends email notifications of loss of communication with NetBotz-4.x appliances only to DCE administrators (if the correct email addresses have been entered in System -> User and Device Group Access...).
This type of notification is not subject to any DCE notification policies. This, if you want, such a DCE-7.x and NetBotz-4.x appliances design 😀.
If you have more questions, please ask.
With respect.

Dear Steve,
It is also possible to receive the Ethernet Link Status lost alarm from Netbotz if the following is configured on Netbotz Advance view.
It is possible to create a threshold for the Ethernet Link Status and associate to your Profile-Alert Action(ie.,email) to receive the email alert when it occurs.
Regards,
Bala

Thanks!
Added an e-mail address to the DCE admin user and the communication alarms for Netbotz 450 devices work now.
