How do I add a SPARC T4-1 blade to a Sunblade 6000 Chassis in DCO 7.5?

I am unable to add blades to the Sun Blade 6000 / Sun Netra 6000 chassis in DCO 7.5.  Does anyone else have this issue?

Hi Jason,

For the "Sun Blade 6000 Chassis", you might want to try/use the following Sun blade(s):

But it seems currently not possible to add blade(s) (such as "Netra Sparc T4-1b") to the enclosure "Sun Netra 6000 Chassis" - this seems to be a bug! I will create an enhancement report for this, so it can be fixed in a future version.

Kind regards

Negative, I have not found any blades that will work with any 6000 chassis Sun or Oracle!

Hi Jason, Adding blades to a sun 6000 chassis works fine for me, I was wondering why it is not working for you. I will shortly post an illustration to show how I'm doing it. But you are right concerning the Oracle chassis, as mentioned it is currently not possible to ad blades to the enclosure "Oracle, Sun Netra 6000 Chassis". I have registered it as a bug. Kind regards

Hi Jason,

Here is my illustration as promised, as an example I have added "Sun Blade 6000 Chassis" and "Blade T6300 server" to my Genomes:

I will now verify/configure the "Bay type" settings for both items (chassis and blade):

I can easily add the enclosure "Sun Blade 6000 Chassis" to a rack, and then add the blade "Blade T6300 Server" to it  (as illustrated I have added 3 blades here):

Hope this helps, otherwise please feel free to comment, thanks.

Kind regards

Hi there guys, i am having the same issue.

I am struggling to add blades to IBM Flex Enterprise Chassis 8721 - Z4C and adding flex System x880 x6

The Blade Centre S and H series works perfectly. I am probably missing a step somewhere.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
