How can I get the NetBotz email alerts from DCE

Hi,

     I have received alerts from NetBotz 570 to DCE but I didn't receive the Email alerts from DCE . DCE is configured properly and we receive the Email alerts from other devices expect NetBotz.

how can I get the NetBotz email alerts from DCE-7.2.7.

Dear Ali,

As far as I know, we need to configure the Netbotz email Server settings in order to receive the email alert when an alarm occurs. 

The email configuration can be done either via DCE or through Netbotz Appliance Advance View Software. 

There is a K-base document(ID: FA226040) available which explains on how to Configure NetBotz appliances to send e-mails on an alert.

Bala's configuration options are correct, The configuration for e-mail will reside on the NetBotz appliance. This was the initial design since NetBotz Central so there would be no single point of failure. DCE can go down and the appliances will still alert on their own. This is also important as NetBotz has many ways to alert (relay outputs, modems, etc) that can't rely on DCE. Steve

can any one share the email alerts setting on gmail server , i already sett all in correct way to get email of alerts from netbotz but i cant recv emails , but i am getting emails other then netbotz - from DCE. umair512@gmail.com

I think this is one of the biggest downfalls of DCE, there are pro's and cons for having the emails configured in the device, but I find that in our organization the administration overhead to do so at the appliance level is prohibitive. Given this is the case we only use the Netbotz200 devices so that we can have a centrally managed and backed up system.
