How can I disable Leak Rope which connected to Netbotz 570 from DCE ? or acknowledge the leak alarm from DCE without log in to Netbotz Advanced View?
Thanks,
Minh

Hi Minh,
When you say you want to disable or acknowledge the alarm, are you stating that the alarm condition still exists and you want the alarm to be hidden or are you saying you configured the threshold so that return to normal requires user input?
If you configured the threshold to require user input , you can right click the alarm in DCE and choose view alarm details and comments, click details, then click the resolve alarm button.
If you have not used the configuration I noted above and the threshold is still breached (the rope is still wet), you can choose to hide the alarm and the active alarms window will no longer show the alarm. The device in device view however will still show a red X and the NetBotz appliance will still do whatever it's alert profile is configured to do.
If you have the profile set up to send an e-mail until the alarm clears but do not wish to receive repeated e-mails, I suggest using a profile that does not continually alert. The NetBotz appliance will remain in that state until the rope leak dries and that can take some time. There are no set times for the rope to dry as it will depend on temperature, humidity, and how much of the rope was wet.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for quick answer.
However, my question is DCE capable of fully control of Netbotz 570 without logging to Advanced View.
Hopefully, the next version of DCE can.
Thanks,
Minh

Hi Minh,
Please define the specifics you're looking for. Your initial question only specified information about the leak rope alarm. You did not mention if the alarm was still on, how it was configured, etc. The answer I provided is accurate and if you have the threshold set up on the bot to require user input, clicking resolve on the DCE server clears the alarm in both the DCE server AND the bot.
Most other aspects of a Net Botz appliance can be configured through DCE but it's not always as easy as clicking a single button or menu option. There are also certain mass config options on a bot that DCE is either not capable of or, because multiple NetBotz appliances may not all have the same options, you may be able to only configure through DCE a single NetBotz appliance at a time. With this type of config, it may simply be easier to use AV.
In any case, you will need to pose a specific question for me to be able to answer it. If you have a specific issue or question, let us know what you're trying to do, what version of DCE and NetBotz including firmware, and we can try to provide an accurate answer. A generalization such as: "is DCE capable of fully control of Netbotz 570 without logging to Advanced View." does not have a simple answer. In most cases the answer is yes. In some minor cases (which may or may not seem minor to you) the answer may be no.
