Hi there
I am constantly seeing this error in log files for DCE
ERRR - Failed to write to file [/data/local/sensor2/Baf3e42/Baf3e42_nbSNMPEncE6A4DDA3/2019/enclosure.db] scantime [1556480939000]

Hi Bruce,
are you seeing issues in DCE or are you simply looking through logs. These events may mean nothing or, depending on what the system is doing and the other events around them, they may together show a reason for something that may be failing.
E6A4DDA3 is a part of a MAC address for one of the snmp devices being monitored. DCE is trying to write info to a file. The failure could be due to anything from a backup locking the file or something reading or writing to it. It may be necessary to lock that file. Unless there is an issue, you can’t tell.
We we often discourage customers from reading these logs as there are always things that look like issues whether errors exist or not. If you have errors or issues in the UI, I suggest posting that type of info.
Steve.

Thank for explaining that Steve. We aren't having many issues . Backup fails regularly however run it again it works. That's why I was perusing logs. CPU of Server is pretty much at %100 for long periods and then can go a week where it is at %80.
Will check out the mac address and find device see what it may be

Hi Bruce,
I'm assuming it's a VM? Do you have a lot of cameras? If so, are you using surveillance? Lowering surveillance numbers like frames per second and resolution can ease the toll on the server.
What do you have for resources (cpus, ram, drives number and size)? Increasing ram and CPS are often a good way to increase performance.
How many devices do you have and what is their polling rate? Increasing the time between polls, especially when you have a large number of devices, can lower resource usage.
If you look in DCE under System--> System Admin Settings --> Storage settings, what does it show for repositories and what does it show for usage?
Do you have a lot of users? Are they running reports? Do they often use the DCE web page and if so, do they have a lot of gadgets?
Is there anything else besides a backup that happens regularly that you can correlate to the 100% usage?
Just an FYI, for a faster response, you may want to consider calling in so someone can work with you directly.
