Hello everyone!
Im here looking for your help once again!
My inventory has for example 5 different rooms.
i want to take the 4th one and export it to HD and import on another server i own that has different license.
And i dont want any of the other DCs data to be exported, only the 4th one
Is there a way of doing this?
Thank you

Hi Gleb,
You can use the Migration feature in DCO, it is available in desktop client, System Setup > Migrate from StruxureWare Operation
The migration feature can/may be applied between two different setups/installations and executable only once! (eg. multiple migration is not allowed).
1- take a backup of the current setup (5 rooms)
2- restore the backup on a test server
3- on the test server, delete the unwanted rooms
4- now the test server should contain the wanted room. Take a backup.
5- backup from step 4 can now be migrated to the destination server.
Note: it is recommended to take a fresh backup (on the destination server) before starting the migration.
Kind regards

Hi Gleb
Not sure if there's a way to do exactly what you want. perhaps you could backup/restore the entire DCO then delete the unwanted 4 rooms?
Way can't you take all 5 rooms?
Cheers

Its a nice solution but my issue is that the two servers are not connected... I want to export the data to a HD and transfer it that way to the other server.
Is this achievable?

Hi Gleb,
Servers do not need to be connected.
The backup file (ex. from step 4) can be transferred/copied to a usb drive/disk/etc and then brought to any location you wish.
Kind regards
