Hi fellows,
I have the attached error message every time I try to log into PDU AP8886 via DCE 7.3.1, while I can access the same PDU via web interface and I can modify any thing from web interface, Anyone can help me taking into consideration the following:
1- I have many PDU AP8886 are working normally.
2- I've rebooted this device via webpage and I removed it from DCE then added it again and i still face the same issue.
BR,
Sameeh

Hi Sameeh,
Have you checked the Device Launch Settings in DCE for that device?
Check FA266820 for more information about this.
Also, check the PDU Event log to see if it shows any signs of unauthorised SNMP access from the IP address of the DCE.
Finally, check if there are any differences in the configuration of the working and non working PDUs.

Thanks for reply, 1- On the private interface. 2- As I mentioned I can access them via web interface with no problem ( of course when I am connected to the Private LAN). 3- The firmware for all PDUs are v6.1.0. 4- HTTP 5- HTTP 6- Yes the same as other PDUs, Kindly check the attached. 7- Both HTTP and HTTPS, Kindly check the attached. 8- No, Kindly check the attched.

Sameeh,
1) Is the device on the public or private interface of the StruxureWare Data Center Expert server?
2) If they are on the public interface, can you type the IP address in your Internet Explorer web address bar and navigate to the device?
3) What firmware revision are the Network Management Cards that are installed within the PDUs?
4) Is the device using HTTP or HTTPS?
5) If using HTTPS, on the devices web interface, what is the minimum protocol version set to under the web settings for HTTPS?
6) Have you verified the device launch settings by right-clicking on the device and selecting Device Launch Settings?
7) What web settings are enabled on the server, in regards to HTTP/HTTPS (System Menu > Server Administration Settings > Server Access > Web Server Tab)?
😎 Are any proxies enabled on your computer (Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections Tab > LAN Settings)?
Regards,
Cory

Sameeh, Please ensure that the PDU is the only device on the network that has that IP address. You can need to test this by trying to ping the IP address from a computer on the public network. If that is no the issue, try upgrading the firmware on one of the PDUs to the most recent version to see if it improves launching to the device. What are the public and private IP address schemes? They should be on two completely different networks, such as the public network is 10.X.X.X and the private is 192.X.X.X. This ensures that the server will connect through the correct interface when attempting to launch to the web interface. The private network needs to be a completely isolated network, except for a connection to the Data Center Expert server. Regards, Cory

Hi Cory, Thanks for your reply, I've solved the problem yesterday ans it was as following: - The DHCP is enabled in Private LAN port and the client gave me a range of (xx.xx.xx.40 to xx.xx.xx.137) and the subnetmask is ( 255.255.255.0). - The A/M PDUs IP adresses were ( xx.xx.xx.128-135), when I increased the range of DHCP IPs to (xx.xx.xx.150) I was able to lauch then them via DCE client. - The A/M IP addrese are suposed to be in the same range of DCE server DHCP, but I don't know why I couldn't reach them via DCE server, but anyway the problem has been resolved now. I have two more querries: 1- Do you have concern if the Puplic IP address is ( 20.100.221.90) and the Private IP address is (20.100.212.90) while the subnet mask is (255.255.255.0) I think in this case the Puplic and Private network will be isolated. 2- The ask me to disable the DHCP after I finish the configuration, what is the proper wat to do this, to access each device via DCE client and change the IP address to be manual and set the IP address then after I finish all device I can disable the DHCP or disable the DHCP then loginto each device ?.
