I have a Eltek Smartpack2 controller which is on air and accessible by WEB.
When I try to get information by snmpwalk (NO any OID is selected snmpwalk -v2c -c public 10.10.10.81) I receive an error that "iso.3.6.1.2.1 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID".
But with some OID like .1.3 it works.
Please help me, how can I add this controller to DCE if device is not discoverable by DCE.
Thank you!

Hi Ara Orujyan,
But with some OID like .1.3 it works.
Can you show a screenshot of what you are doing?
Please help me, how can I add this controller to DCE if device is not discoverable by DCE.
That is, you have already performed discovering Eltek Smartpack2 controller on DCE-server? And what is the result of the discovering?
With respect.

Hi Ara Orujyan,
Judging from the screenshots shown, your Eltek Smartpack2 controller is not a "standard" SNMP-device in the understanding of a DCE-server. The above tests confirmed this and also, why the DCE-server refuses to detect it. This is bad news.
The good news is that, if you really want to, this Eltek Smartpack2 controller can still be connected to a DCE-server, but using an SNMP-proxy server, that can be easily deployed on any Linux box. More recently, I've already talked about this here, see my answer in post . If you are not new in Linux, I can tell you in more detail and show how it can be implemented in practice.
With respect.

I am also trying to connect an Eltek Flatpack S DC Rectifier to our Virtual DCE to monitor. I have received the DDF file but my trouble seems to be the handshaking on SNMP V3. I have also added the username/password credentials on the Device File Transfer Setting and specifically pointed that information to the IP of the Eltek. I know the IP can talk because I was able to connect to the device using a MODBUS setting but that didn't give me the values I wanted besides connection status.
since reading above threads I will try changing to the web-based configuration to connect.

I Also have changed to Web Based Configuration and after that I was able to configure/create username for SNMP V3.
Please note, that, in my case, I have created user in admin-group, and after that everything is working.
Please let me know if I can help you.

Hi Ara,
I'm still trying to figure out this configuration and I am lost at this point. I have added some pictures and wanted to see if you can give me details on what you have done to get your Smartpack S to talk with your Data Center Expert so that I can just replicate that onto my DCE. If you see on the images I've created a username and password ICTSWDC but not sure if i'm entering those credentials in the right area. Also did you need to add any Device Definition Files from the DCE database that needs to be on DCE so that it can read the correct SNMP values?
Thanks for any advice or help.
Ronnie

Ara,
Thanks for the info screenshot and it worked and I was able to have DCE talk to the Eltek. I'm trying to request the DDF file for Eltek Smartpack2 from the support. All I get from values is the following and the DDF that I downloaded was for Eltek DC Rectifier. Not sure what type of values your getting on your DCE if I need to make changes on DCE or anything so I can see more values.
Thanks,
Ronnie

The DDFs Eltek DC Rectifier and Eltek DC Rectifier 2 is different files and different configurations.
I already have the DDF for Eltek DC Rectifier 2. eltek_smartpack2.xml

Dear spezialist and Mohan Gowda G S,
I tied to configure SNMP v3, and it works.
I don't know why this device have such specific configuration in part of SNMP V1 & V2, but with SNMP v3 it works perfect.
Anyway, thank you for your kind and professional support.

I.e., you will have to add a Eltek Smartpack2 controller to the DCE-server with SNMP v3?

Correct.
In case , when V1 and V2 is not working versions, only way to add Smartpack2 to DCE is V3.
Or if you have some other solution, kindly provide it.
Thanks.

But now I have an other question.
In this case , how can I start DDF request process.
I mean, if the snmpwalk software accepted by Schneider can't detect / snmpwalk the Smartpack2, how can i provide the walk file ?
Thank you.

To this question you will find a good answer here .
I mean, if the snmpwalk software accepted by Schneider can't detect / snmpwalk the Smartpack2, how can i provide the walk file ?
Snmpwalk, provided by Schneider Electric perfectly supports SNMP v3 and this is written in the built-in manuals. See, for example, the answers in the topic .
With best regards.

I see that DDF for Smartpack2 is already created and available in Device Support, so I've requested an existig DDF. will wait for it.
Thank you!

Dear Ara,
I just would like to share our learning when we added Smartpack SMPS device to DCE software successfully.
We have enabled "Web-based configuration"on the Smartpack SMPS web interface.
Check the community string name matches with the DCE settings. Try to discover the device by SNMP version 1, and use the exact community string name while discovering it in DCE.
Please ensure that the device is responding to ObjectID SNMP OID when you do the SNMP walk in order for DCE software to detect it as SNMP device.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Bala

In my case, mentioned problem was solved when I have changed to SNMP v3.
SmartPack 2 with SNMPv3 works properly. Just create the user for SNMP v3 with administrator rights, it will be enough.
