Does anyone know if DCE supports SMB v3 for mounting the Backup Share? We have disabled SMB v1 on all windows servers due to the lack of security in SMB v1. It was noted that there should be a request for enhancement to add support for SMB v3. Does anyone know if this has been added or is still on the timeline for a future update of DCE?

Hello,
Sorry but no, SMB2/3 is still not supported. I see no timeline available for this but I believe it requires a kernel update so it may not be the most simple of procedures. I've added your comments to the existing enhancement request.
Thanks,
Steve.

Hi Steve
i got the same question from a customer about 4 weeks ago. He's waiting for an answer cause there internal guidelines are nomore allowing the use of SMB V1. We need a solution for this, as faster as better.
