I am running DCE v7.2.4 and I gave a user "Administration" privileges to a folder which houses his devices. Everything else, including the folders upstream have "No Access" because he doesn't need to see those devices.
However he can not "Delete" devices. There are no higher permissions for that folder. What permissions does a user need to have to be able to have full control over their folder of devices?
Regards,
J

Hi John,
A similar request has been in the system for a while but has not gained any traction to this point. The system is currently working as designed and a user must be a server administrator to be able to delete devices.
Again, there is an enhancement request in the system and I have added the info from this post to the request.

Hi Steve,
Is there any update on this enhancement? I'm needing to do the same thing with giving folder admins access to delete devices.
Thanks,
Brett

Hi Brett,
Sorry but no, this has not been addressed. I have noted in the enhancement request that you would like this addressed as well.
