Hello team hope you are all good,
I have encountered an issue with deleting data from the server
I have an instance with many rooms on it and its backup file size is about 107MB
I need to transfer one room into another server and dont want that server to have all of the other rooms data on it - so i deleted all the rooms except the one i need and backed up the solution - as i was going through the backup files i noticed that the new backup size reduced only by 2MB and now is 105MB
so i suspect that the data on it still existing and the server removed only the indications to the files with the data on them
is there a way of removing all of the data or backing up only one room?
Thank you very much!

Hi Gleb,
That's not surprising, size of a backup file may not be directly proportional with the number rooms in the setup. Additional to the modeled rooms, you/we should also have data related to integrated external systems, historical data, system audits, etc. So what you are experiencing with backup file size, would be an expected behavior.
Kind regards

Thank you for answering Jef
I understand that the backup has more information then only the rooms i had,
so maybe this question will clear things up a little bit for me
Deleting a room in DCO Client and saving afterwards guarantee permanent deletion of the data?
Cheers

Hi Gleb,
That's correct, when you/we delete rooms, then they are gone! However depending on size and number of the rooms/locations the deletion process may take some time (even hours) to complete the job (would run in background).
Kind regards
