I am looking for the latest version of the DDF for Enlogic inline meters and Rack PDU's. I currently have V17 of a DDF which seems to cover the entire range of Enlogic devices.
In Device Support there are 3 different model of Enlogic device supported (EN1120, EN1111 and EE8102), but the 'Generic' V17 DDF I have is not listed.
So my question is how does all this DDF stuff work? Is the V17 'Generic' Enlogic DDF I have installed not now supported? If it is, how do I get the latest version (if there is one). If it is no longer supported what should I be using instead, and where do I get it?

Hi Garry Priestland,
Good question :-).
Once long ago in DCE-client there was a possibility of "Update DDF files from the APC website". This option works also now, but it is required that DCE-client had access to https://updates.apc.com:443/. As far as I could understand, this option probably was conceived as a way of support in an actual condition of the DDF-files, which are already installed in the DCE-server (as a rule, it is a complete set of DDF-files for the native equipment APC by Schneider Electric and a small amount of DDF-files for the 3rd party equipment). But not for loading of any new DDF-files. Actually, within the last five years, the specified way of updating of already installed DDF-files for me, and probably for many other users, it is useless as there is nothing new there,.. except the outdated schneiderops.xml 🙂 DDF-file. About it is possible to read
And here, if it is required to download the DDF-file for any other 3rd party equipment, then for this purpose there was always a resource Multivendor Support Team (multivendorsupport@apc.com - not actual) or recently introduced . This is also a resource, where it is possible to receive the necessary 3rd party DDF-file by separate request.
I.e., a conclusion so far one - automatically online it is still impossible to check updates of the DDF-files, which are available for you or online download DDF-files for other 3rd party equipment.
With best regards.

Hi Garry,
If you think that the current generic Enlogic DDF is outdated for whatever reason, you can still use the Device Support link to request an updated one. The team that creates the DDFs will likely ask for an SNMP walk of the device(s) and/or the MIB file for those Enlogic device(s).
Device vendors may make changes to the hardware or firmware from time to time and we would not necessarily be aware of this unless we are advised by yourselves or another end user.
Regards

Hello Garry,
The latest generic DDF we have for Enlogic DDF is with the Version 17 only. Individual DDF's like EN1120, EN1111 and EE8102 were created based on the specific request by customers. The DDF with version 17 is still supported and you can continue to use it.
Thanks and Regards,

The multivendorsupport@apc.com is no longer being supported, you will need to use the device support feature on EcoStruxure IT Help Center in order to request an update or a new DDF file for you device.
In case you want modifications to be done to an existing DDF please attach the file to the device support request.
Thanks
