How can I reset the password for the apc account used to log into DCO 8.x with either the Java client or the web interface? The only link I found is this one: https://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/public/UADCO8x/Resetting+user+password+on+the+DCO+server
However that is only to reset the operating system password. However, in my case I am able to log into the console/terminal of the OS and I need to reset the password inside the application.

Hi Michael D'Angelo,
This problem has already been discussed repeatedly in DCIM Support (see, for example , and ). And as Jef Faridi wrote in post :
I will contact you (by direct email) soon and we will resolve this off-line. But I wish to let you/Community know that this is not a usual support, it is expected that the customer(s) take the responsibility of taken care of the system credentials.
Therefore, you need to wait for help from DCIM Support employees.
Always glad to answer your questions.

Hi Micheal,
I was wondering if you have another logins to be used, so you can login and change the password for "apc".
Or if this is a new installation, then the password for "apc" user is also apc, but at first login attempt (via web client) user would would be prompted to change the password. I would also recommend to create an additional local account with administrator rights (just in case when it should be needed).
If the above mentioned options cannot solve your problem, then I can contact you and resolve it offline? (I'm assuming that you are holding a valid software/DCO support contact?)
Kind regards

Yes I have a valid support contract. The other accounts I have are configured for LDAP but there is some issue with the LDAP authentication not working, which is why I'm trying to use the apc account. The "apc" user is the only one I have that's a local account but the password I have saved for it isn't working for some reason.
