Hi,
In DCO desktop client how can I open all server/storage room?
Background info: I have 100+ server/storage and I have to search by serial numbers in the entire DCO database. The result devices will be update with a "Edit mutiple item" feature.
Is there any other way to achieve this goal?
Thanks.

Hi Mate,
I would use the Inventory search feature in the Web-client:
I understand that suing the web-client while working on the desktop client might be an extra work, but opening 100+ rooms (not recommended) might affect the server/client performance.
Furthermore, REST api "GET /assets/search" can also be used to search for assets containing the words in the string (such as serial number).
Kind regards

Hi Jef,
See my last sentence: (and sorry for the typo) The result devices will be updated with "Edit mutiple item" feature.
More details: I have to use a long key string for search like: "serial1 OR serial2 OR serial3....."
Web interface doesn't allow to use boolen strings in search. Furthermore let's say I have 98 results of the search. I want to update each of 98 items with the same property value, using the "Edit multiple item" feature which is available in the desktop version.
Do you think it is feasible with REST API?

Hi Mate,
Sorry, currently that's not possible - searching and/or editing multiple items in web-client/rest api is currently unsupported. As a part of near future road map it is expected to move most (or all) of desk-top client functionality gradually to web-client. This multi edit feature most likely could/would be part of the re-thinking and further development for the web-client.
Kind regards
