Hi ,
I got some questions from client during demo. Did DCO's data was static input? because client want to know the real power and CI when using DCO.
DCE can sync real time data to DCO? because client didn't want to use DCO as inventory tools only. they prefer that can read real power data.

Dear benjamin ip,
The best answer to your customer’s question is from :
We promote DCO as a planning tool & DCE as a monitoring tool. If the client wants to refer to the real time data, DCE is the tool for him. But if he wants to plan something in his data center, such as addition of a server or movement of an asset, then relying barely on the Real time information from the equipment would be insufficient.
To improve this judgement, DCO does Averaging & Peaking of the data for a period at least over 30 days to arrive at the Trend nature of any devices so that maximum information can be obtained from them in order to plan a change.
For example, if you are planning to add a server to a rack & you refer to the present values of the Rack PDUs, without having an insight into the trends of the equipment, you might remain unaware of any Peaks or Sags happened to than Rack in terms of power in the past, which would make the installation vulnerable to such peaks or any similar conditions.
DCO makes the user consider the past data as well for any changes in the environment in order to take care of such vulnerabilities.
In addition, pay attention to the answer of Jef Faridi from post and the web-link indicated by him:
As described in the following page, the measured peak and average values (in DCO) are based on the the configuration settings (30 days by default):
About Peak and Average Power Data Retrieval from StruxureWare Data Center Expert
Please notice that the displayed measurements in DCO, power peak and average, they are not real-time values but as mentioned they are based on the defined time interval.
This is where you will find information how often the DCO-server polls the DCE-server and more.
I hope this is what you need.
With respect.

Adding to comments from spezialist.
As mentioned StruxureWare DC Operation is designed to be a capacity and planning tool which covers areas like inventory, power path, and capacity planning features. In the power area, the real time data remains at the monitoring level which in most cases would be DCE (data center expert) or ITE (ecostruxure IT expert).
From a capacity planning standpoint, DCO is much more interested in peak and average data from the monitoring system and not the more real time data points. Peaks and averages are important for capacity calculations.
DCO is now transitioning to Ecostruxure IT Advisor so its entirely possible the exchange between ITA and ITE becomes more seamless than the experience between DCO and DCE today.

Hi ,
Can DCO connect to DCE by using external system configuration? Cause i want add DCE's KW sensor to DCO layout floor plan. For this purpose, client can know the real time data by external system DCE.
Cheers,
