DCO DR node - frequency for synchronisation job

Hi Team,

Could you please advise what is the frequency for the DCO DR node updates?
Once the DCO DR node has been attached to the main DCO server the sftp connection is established...how often will the transfer between the two happen?

Trying to establish the maximum expected data loss for the DR scenario.

For example:
If the synchronisation happens every 15min and it takes between 5-15 minutes to complete than in a worst case scenario we could expect that 30minutes worth of changes done by the DCO users will not be available in an event of the PROD DCO failing...

Based on some data usage testing we found that the minimum requirement for running a DR node on a 200 rack solution is 10 Mbit/s. This of course varies by usage, but unless the user performs multiple changes to the entire solution in short succession, the DR node will stay in sync within a few minutes on a 10 Mbit/s connection even with larger changes (e.g. adding 50 racks). For most common tasks, the DR will be sync'd within seconds. DCO also has a large buffer (8 GB), so the DR node will be able to catch up even if there are many changes at once, it will simply be a few saves behind the main node (however, still in a consistent state).

This refers to PostgreSQL and the whole section is titled "Disaster recovery node and cluster related protocols" so my suspicion is that this long description is actually talking about the way CLUSTER would synchronise and not how the PROD and DR nodes would...

I am well aware of cluster setup not being supported anymore.

What I am saying is that the description on the above article refers to PostgreSQL ports which were previously used when cluster was available...I do not believe that DR DCO node uses PostgreSQL port to synchronise with PROD DCO node...

This page probably needs updating and my question still remains as per original post...

Could you please requirest tha the documentation page is updated to remove the cluster references since it is no longer valid. If this desciption is valid for DR node does it mean that DR node uses  PostgreSQL on port 5432. to commnicate with Production DCO node?

You are most welcome. Documentation will be updated soon (for the time being intentionally cluster description is not removed yet). Yes, postgresql on port 5432 is used to sync the data between master node and the DR.
