Hi Team,
Asking on behalf of Mark Tucker our valued customer.
The issue Mark has experienced seems to be related to this post: , however we did try setting up the Design Limit and measured power is still not coming through.
Setup:
DCO version 9.1.0-70629-cf193f
DCE version 7.4.3.26
Exaple rPDUs AP8853 Application version 6.0.9
There are number of different rack PDUs monitored via DCE but for ilustration purposues we looked at a Rack with 2 x AP8853 rPDUs.
DCO rack PDUs are associated with their monitored counterparts from DCE and Rack has a 12kW Design Limit setup however no measured data is coming through:
We checked an adjusted Measurment Trending setup in DCO to "look back" for 2 days only and limited DCE settings to only last 10 days as per below:
However the External Systems property section on rPDUs does not display the expected power summary data and no measured readings are present in DCO Client and Web client.
One item that drew my attention was a presence of Demo External Systems:
We suspect that intial built was done using the Demo DCO built (during POC) and later copied into a full version of DCO when project started.
Not sure if this might be contributing factor to the inability of displaying the measured data.
I tried enabling the Demo Tools on Mark's DCO client (in order to remove unwanted demo external systems) but was unable do it.
Please liase directly with Mark Tucker to get this problem solved as soon as possible.
Regards
Lukasz

Hi Mark,
Server logs contain 'Read timed out' (to external system/DCE) - I was wondering perhaps your configured Timeout settings is too low for this setup. The "Stop waiting for data after", according to your screen capture, says 600 seconds - you might want to try with higher time settings (such as 3600 s) and see how it goes.
Kind regards

I would create a completely new DCO 8.1 instance, add a few racks and rack PDUs, and then connect it to the DCE server.
Then make a few device associations and verify if the problem still persists.
This could potentially verify if (or not) the old demo solution has inherited something strange into the play ...

Christian,
This is a customer live solution and to my knowledge he won't be able setup a new DCO to simply test it.
Also I would have expected that if this was a version 8.1 issue we would not be the first ones raising it so it must be specific to the setup, therefore I would appreciate looking further into the issue on customer production server.

Ok, it was just a suggestion on how to potentially eliminate the possibility that the demo solution is the offender.

Dear Mark Tucker and Lukasz Staciwo
We will do our best to assist you. As a start we need the server log files in order to start the trouble shooting. Would it be possible to share that with us?
You can collect server log files from the Webmin server management interface (StruxureWare DC Operation>Download server log files).
Best Regards
Anders

Hi Mark,
I do not see logs attached, but I see a backup file (over two weeks old). After changing the timeout (and waiting few hours), do you see measurements appearing in DCO? If not, please collect server logs (from webmin interface) + a fresh backup file and share with me (I will send you an invite to my box folder soon), thanks.
Kind regards

Hi Mark,
Sounds great that it is now working, many thanks for sharing the update, really appreciated.
(just for info: I've just check my box folder, the kindly uploaded backup file is over two weeks old. It seems the issue is resolved so I will not take more of your time, but it might be good idea to check/make sure that the daily/scheduled backup is enabled/running. It is via webmin interface, StruxureWare DC Operation > Backup.) thanks
Kind regards
