Hi all,
We have installed version 8.0.2 and I am trying to populate the racks.
after adding some devices ( around 10) the client is saying that he have issue to connecting server, and he is trying to restart services on DCO server.
Please find screenshots that maybe help for investigation:
The only solution I have is to reboot the VM.
Thanks for the help

Hi Francois,
It might not be a memory related issue, to be able to investigate this I would need to look into the log files and possibly the solution itself (so it can be tested/verified locally), If possible, please collect the following data and share with me (I will send you an invite to my =S= box shortly):
1. client application log file,
( usually located (in Win.) C:\Users\
2. server logs,
server logs can be collected from server Webmin (https://
3. a copy of the latest backup file
Kind regards

Hi Francois,
Many thanks for sharing the selected files (it would have been great if I could have the complete server logs-xxx.tar.gz file ).
Apparently issue seems to be memory related after all, additional to your second screen capture I could also see the following latest log records:
Dec 23 12:37:08 localhost kernel: Out of memory: Kill process 3407 (java) score 543 or sacrifice child
Dec 23 14:17:45 localhost kernel: Out of memory: Kill process 3408 (java) score 544 or sacrifice child
This is usually an indication of server not having enough available memory. I understand your are running with 16 GB RAM (valid minimum requirement), but if you should have a demanding setup, perhaps you might want to increase the memory capacity.
I think it might also make sense to test the "solution" itself, eg. a) fresh installation of DCO on another machine, b) and then restoring the latest backup file and see how it goes,
Kind regards

Hi Jef,
I will see with my VMware administrator to increasing size of memory, according to you, what should be the requirement, as we have a licenses for 30 racks currently ( and should be increasing to 90 in total).
FYI : I rebooted the server this morning ( it was crash again) and even without performing any activity ( no logging with DCO client) the server is crashed again.
Regards

Hi Francois,
I have studied the kindly provided log files – It seems to be a memory leak issue. We have logged an enhancement case for this, so the cause could be investigated and fixed as soon as possible (it has a top priority to be fixed!).
Kind regards

Hi Francois, (branckotte francois),
DCO 8.0.4 is released.
This release contains several minor fixes, and a fix for a memory leak that exists in all previous DCO 8.x.x releases.
It is highly recommended to upgrade any previous versions of DCO 8.x.x to 8.0.4.
The download link can be obtained via customer care center and/or local tech support,
Kind regards
