DCIM Operation on HP Proliant DL380 G8

Hi,

During the installation of DCIM Operation on HP Proliant DL380 G8 server we had some problems and we were unable to install it, can you please advise if it is possible to install it on the same and if there is any known issue for DL380 G8 Server.

Hi Jesper, Thanks for your response. This is something which my team has told me that they faced earlier, so I don't have the exact details for the error. I just want to check if there is any known error or compatibility issue, because I have seen on the community pages that latest version i.e. 7.4.X is already tested for DL380 G8 Server.

Maybe it is a problem with RAID controller?

Hi Valentin, Yes I have checked the System Requirements, server's RAID controller for G8 is tested as per the system requirement page. Also I faced the same problem while installing Red Hat on same server and the issue was resolved by adding driver for RAID Controller separately at the installation window of LINUX. May be my team is referring to the same problem.

You might need to install the software using the alternative drives:
http://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/public/UAOp74/Installing+StruxureWare+Data+Center+Operation
Alternative drivers (recommended) are used for servers having newer hardware, such as network cards, harddrive controllers, etc.
