Hello,
I have a question regarding user management in DCE. We have created user group which has administration access to all devices. User group doesn't have DCE Administrator rights because users should not touch to user accesses or configuration on the server.
In the user group, user can add new devices but not remove any. We have tested and looks that only DCE administrators can delete devices now. I think this cannot be correct and we have something wrong on environment. When user has inserted an device using incorrect port number then he cannot fix this by deleting the. User has admin rights to all devices and cannot delete device. Do you know why this happens and how we can fix the issue.
We are using Data Center Expert build 7.5.0.62.
Best Regards,
Hannu

Hi Hannu,
I went through the DCE online help and while I agree this seems to be a logical option for a device administrator, looking through the Monitoring access section, there is no mention of any user level having "delete" access to devices. The only thing I can suggest is putting in a feature request for this by going to the "Resources --> Feature Requests" menu above.
Thanks,
Steve
