A DCE 725 server we have is recording a large number of the same error in the logs:-
7/17/15 07:47:35.752 WARN - FAILED TO TRANSMIT ALERT https://10.41.0.18:443/isxo/core/monitoring/central/AlarmEventReceiver org.soda.dpws.fault.DPWSFault: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
(com.apc.dpws.ISXCentralEventingNotifier)
10.41.0.18 is the IP address of the Private (LAN2) Network B interface of the DCE server
Couple of questions:
Is this likely to effect performance at all? (sometimes the response of DCE client is pretty slow)
How do I find out how to stop these errors? There seems to be no reference to the "requested target". Unless DCE is trying to report errors to itself?!

I think I may have figured it out. "/isxo/core/monitoring/central/AlarmEventReceiver" is a call to an Operations server and the operations server this is connected to had the call back server IP address as the IP address of the DCE server. The logs are so full because there are so many alerts occurring on this DCE server!
