Hello,
I'm using a Windows share backup, the backups are running well but when I try to restore from backup I cannot see any available backup. Do you know how to solve that?
Regards,
Enric

Hi Enric,
First, please be sure that the backup you are trying to restore is of the same version. Please make sure the share name does not have the word "backup" in the folder name. Please also be sure that there are no other files in this directory. I suggest creating a share on the root of C: with a short name (DCE or APC, something easy) and move your backup there. If you have multiple servers backing up to the same location, you may want to change it so they each have their own directory. Additionally, if you have a second DCE server, please verify that backup can or can not be seen by the other system. Again, making sure they are the same version.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Backup and restore is the same version so I'm trying to restore a backup of a single server. I have only one server, I've done a backup and I'm trying to restore to itself.
I will check the folder names to discard if containt a "backup" name and then I'll inform you.

Hi Steve, Checking the folder name, I've found the problem maybe the backup was not run well so in the backup last result status says "Failed" as you can see in the attached image. How can I revise the problem with the backup? Regards, Enric

Hi Enric, It's difficult to say why it may have failed. Without logs, it could be anything from the target being full to credentials changing to an issue with the data on the DCE server, to network issues. If you try running one now and it fails, you'll need to troubleshoot. To take out the network, target, rights, etc, I would suggest trying another backup to another location. If the server is a hardware server, put a laptop on the private LAN. try running a config only backup to the private side system. Then try a full backup. If they're both working, you may want to try cleaning out the target system as it may have too many backups. If you're still having issues, we can look at the logs but it may be quicker to contact support as I will have limited access throughout the holidays. Steve

Dear Enric,
In addition to Steve's answers, I would suggest you to take another DCE backup on your System/PC by selecting "Configuration" Backup Type instead of Full Backup.
Once the Configuration Backup Type is fully completed, please check if you are able to locate the Configuration folder on restore.

Bala
