Hello, I want to ask something about the polling mechanism of modbus device in DCE.
I want to know how the polling mechanism works between the devices with
different slave ID but the same IP ports.
Thank you.

Dear guanyc,
I have not heard much about this yet, but it seems to me, that there is no clear relationship between the order and the time interval between polls of different slave devices connected to the same TCP/IP Modbus gateway.
That is, the DCE-server can poll all slave devices in any order at any time, and the task of correctly allocating the polling queues is performed by the gateway's TCP/IP controller. In my opinion, this is very correct and reasonable.
Something similar can be found in Yang Gao and Steven Marchetti answers in topic .
If you have any further questions, please ask.
With respect.
