My client had an incident few days ago, their chillers malfunctioned & the InRow ACs stopped cooling.
but the DCE client was stuck & didn't report anything......My client want to view the server's system logs to identify the root cause of this issue, because the server is frequently showing this abnormal behavior from few weeks.
Can anybody please guide me where I can find the Data Center Expert server's logs ?
Do I have to login to its linux interface & access via serial or something ?
Or if I can find it on web client ?

Hi Raza Khan,
My client had an incident few days ago, their chillers malfunctioned & the InRow ACs stopped cooling.
First, have you looked directly at the InRow ACs interface when an incident occurred, was it identified, recognized, etc?
but the DCE client was stuck & didn't report anything......
To be precise, the DCE client does not send any notifications, but only displays (visualy and audio) the current state of the DCE server and monitored devices (via DCE server). Yes, indeed, the DCE client can hang, but it has no effect on the DCE server. It is highly recommended, after all, not to rely solely on the DCE client, but to configure the sending of notifications when incidents occur, similar to yours.
My client want to view the server's system logs to identify the root cause of this issue, because the server is frequently showing this abnormal behavior from few weeks.
DCE server or DCE client? This is very important for further understanding the essence of the problem. Next, I mean the DCE server:
Do I have to login to its linux interface & access via serial or something ?
Unfortunately not, see also this post
I am always glad to help.

Thanks a lot for a detailed answer, much appreciated.
Well I've got it, I've downloaded the "Capturelogs" package & now the question is how do I view these logs & let my client study it ?
its like a package of so many files.

Yes, of course, as I wrote in :
It is usual *nix standard of file archive, which easily opens, for example, 7-Zip file archiver under Windows.
In your situation I think it is useful to study these files from tarball:

Hi Raza Khan,
You can check the Event Log tab on the DCE web client, to see if it shows anything useful related to the issues you had with the chiller and cooling units. Otherwise you will need to contact your local Technical Support and provide them with the DCE capturelogs and the logs from the units themselves.
The instructions below show how to retrieve the latest DCE capturelogs, assuming it is v6 or later.
