I would like to use APC SNMP configuration to perform batch modification on couple of APC devices (AP8853, AP8886).
I did not find the capability to setup domain name of the devices. This should be the same on all devices e.g. fake.company.com
Can someone help to me where can I find this feature to create a templete for that?

Hi Mate,
Although you can "name" APC devices using StruxureWare DCE:
but you can not give it a true DNS name. If that is what you're looking to do, you must do that on your DNS server where you would associate an IP with fake.company.com.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Mate - are you asking about this setting within the web user interface (UI)? This is under Configuration->Network->DNS->Configuration menu.
This would be the domain name the NMC uses or appends to any hostname you put into an input field within the device.
I cannot find this setting within the Data Center Expert (DCE) SNMP mass config screens unfortunately. I suspect it is because within the web UI, it is part of the DNS settings but in the config.ini configuration file that DCE uses, it is within the NetworkTCPIP section which I don't see as available to mass configure. It really should likely be under NetworkDNS section which is available to configure within DCE.
For now, if I am correct in what you want to do, if it is not what Steve mentioned, we could offer that you use the config.ini outside of DCE and follow the instructions here -> http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156117 I will see if we can correct this in a future DCE version but I can't make any promises on when/if that happens.
