Universal Temperature Sensor Netbotz 570

Hi there,

I purchased A9335T temperature sensor but not really suite for my requirement. I want to terminate a Schneider STR100 room temp sensor into universal port on Netbotz 570. However I require the correct pinouts to terminate RJ45 into Netbotz. Does anyone have the info on which pinouts/ cable colour to use for termination on temperature sensor?

Hi,

The NetBotz 570 Installation and quick configuration manual can be found

http://www.apc.com/salestools/LSCZ-7BUKZ9/LSCZ-7BUKZ9_R6_EN.pdf

Referring to page 1 you will find the recommended additional options.

You will find the sensors compatible with the NetBotz 570 are

• Temperature Sensor (AP9335T)

• Temperature/Humidity Sensor (AP9335TH)

• Temperature Sensor with Digital Display (AP9520T)

• Temperature/Humidity Sensor with Digital Display (AP9520TH)

Hi Gary,

The STR100 is not compatible with the NBRK0570 and the firmware in the 570 knows nothing about the sensor or how to read it. The "universal" sensor ports are for any sensor listed in the manual as supported that do not have a specific port (like the leak rope). I don't see where this can be monitored by NetBotz but if it has a 4-20 mA output or 0-5v output, NetBotz can read those parameters.

Thanks,

Steve

Gary, the AP9335T Temperature probe will connect directly into the universal RJ45 port on the Netbotz.  Note that this will be required to be patched directly into the RJ45, not via a network switch.

The Schneider STR100 is not a componet of the Netbotz range, and will need to use the 4-20 mA output or 0-5v output as Steve indicated.  Also as an alternative, the NB range also support wireless Temperature and Temperature/Humidity sensors.
