Hi team,
we have a deploy with DCE 7.8.0 that is not working properly. We cannot access with web browser and desktop client indicates that the storage is full and we cannot delete anything. We tried to upgrade DCE from 7.8.0 to 7.8.1 with the upgrade file but it did not work.
Today we have tried to deploy a new virtual machine with DCE 7.8.1 and then restore a backup from 7.8.0, but DCE 7.8.1 does not see the 7.8.0 backups files in the repository. Can we restore from a 7.8.0 backup in DCE 7.8.1?
If that is not possible the only thing that we can do is to deploy a new virtual machine with DCE 7.8.0 and restore the backup that we have from the current version of DCE 7.8.0 that is not working properly, am I right?

Hi @jzurera,
Backups can only be restored to the same version - the only exception to this is for the 781-to-790 upgrade.
So your path forward should be to install 7.8.0, then if it's a virtual machine, add additional storage if your backup is larger than about 3gig. Then restore your backup, before upgrading to 7.8.1.

today we have deployed a new virtual machine with the same MAC address as previous one, with DCE 7.8.0. We have restored a previous backup and it did not work properly.
We have now DCE working but not with the same configuration that we had before. Now we have all the devices in the unnasigned folder, without the hierarchy that we had before and without any map. Also we do not have the licences imported even the users configuration. And not all the devices are shown, now we see 567, without any licence imported, and the customer says that previously there were around 700 devices.
It is very strange...
