In DCE 7.2.0 Alert Configuration > due to electric In / Out, we got too many device communication lost emails. We setup 300 seconds (05 minutes) delay in Communication Status / Link Status using 'Return to Normal Delay' Setting.
This is in case of a device failure, DCE will check device status for 05 minutes if device discovery fails DCE will send email, Unfortunately it is not happening.
Your support is requested to overcome with the situation.

Hi Muhammad!
You need to change your settings. Return to Normal Delay is used when you need to be sure that alert condition is gone. In this case DCE wait 300 seconds and than send email if there is no alert conditions for the sensor.
For your case you should use another threshold type State For Time or State Mismatch For Time. Unfortunately there is no such settings for Communication Lost alerts, but you can workaround it with device state sensors which present on almost all devices.
You need:
Now, when device status changed from Normal to something else, DCE will send email after 5 minutes.
