Hello All, Imagine I have two Normally Closed (NC) (Dry Contact) sensors on a Netbotz 200 or 450. These NC contacts are connected (for argument sake) the fault indicator on two separate chillers. Only one chiller runs at a time and the other is in standby (redundant).
While I can monitor and alert the state of each chiller individually what I want is to be 'warned' when one chiller faults (as we are redundant) but 'critical' when both fault.
This means ANDing the two NC contacts somehow in DCE so that if Chiller 1 faults, send warning, or if Chiller two faults, send warning, but if Chiller and Chiller 2 fault at the same time then its critical.
Is this possible in Netbotz or DCE?
Thanks
Craig

Hi Craig,
I'm not very sure, but I guess you could add multiple sensors under 'Manage Alert Actions>Send Short Message Email' using Macros. Not sure, if it can be done for Dry Contacts separately this way.
Anyone with better solution, can come with Idea.

Hi Craig,
Neither DCE nor the NetBotz appliance has the ability at this time to do and/or logic. Using the dry contacts themselves, you can use series or parallel connections to create and/or logic on the connections themselves.
I'm unsure how multiple connections would work though. For instance, if you monitor dry contact 1 with the first cable, dry contact 2 with the second cable and then put the same monitored device's outputs to a 3rd cable and in series for instance. You'd have to test that in your specific environment.
