Hi Pete,
Data Center Operation is designed to support integration with your client CRM database through webservices.
Information how to configure this can be seen here:
http://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/DCIMDEVELOPER/CustomerWebService
If you want to add a client name without without an integration to a CRM database is it also possible. You will then have to use a tool like for instance SoapUI to make the webservice calls to add the client name.

At 2:05 look for "customers: Customer Service" and in your scripts use the operations from this service.
