Dear All,
We have several PDU AP8881 installed and since few weeks 4 of them are loosing communication with DCE and DCO. When I approach problematic PDU I can observe that screen is hanged, none of the buttons seems to work, although I can see that LAN lights are blinking as usual. PDU reset does not help at all.
After some time everything is going back to normal and device is accessible up until next problem appearance.
Any thoughts on this? What could be the issue and/or solution?
Best regards,
Krzysztof

We have had some PDU's hang on V6.09 Firmware. If the firmware is 6.09 then try upgrading it on these PDU's.
Otherwise we have had some PDU's lose comms intermittently and then eventually fail entirely.

That was going to be my suggestion. The 6.09 firmware has a bug that causes the management interface on the PDU to hang. You may need to manually upgrade from the bootloader to recover the PDU.

Thanks! That was it! After an upgrade PDU's seems back to operational state.

In addition to Garry's answer, you can refer the K-base document ID: FA237061 for more information.

I hope this is useful. I also recommend you to make sure that DCE version is up to date. Please contact your local tech support team with valid software support contract if your DCE version is older.
