3 Phase to Single Phase Modelling

Hi,

Does someone know how the best way to model a single phase rack pdu such as an AP8853 from an individual breaker on a 3 phase room pdu?

This environment is in the UK, so the room PDU takes a 415V Three Input and can then output on single phase breakers at 240V for instance.  

Edit - To clarify the issue is more around that we are always getting an error as below and would like to clear these.

'The rack pdu output voltage setting does not match the output voltage on the connected PDU '

Hi Stuart,

In the following example I have a simple modeled/configuration: UPS > PDU > r-PDU , where I want to connect my PDU breaker position 2 to rack pdu (AP8853)

1- In PDU properties > Power > Breaker Panel, defined/added Panel (1)

2- select the appropriate configuration under Breaker (2)

3- Under the "Power Consumer" & the appropriate breaker position, click and select the consumer (rack pdu)  (3)

We can verify that the rack-pdu is now connected:

Similar power connection/configuration can also be done from rack-pdu side.

Thanks for the swift reply.  Apologies though as I didn't describe the problem that well.  We have done the mapping as per your example.  The issue we are wanting to move past is the below error on every cabinet/rPDU connected to the PDU.

"The rack pdu output voltage setting does not match the output voltage on the connected PDU"

As the PDU is three phase it isn't giving us an option to select a single phase output voltage of 240V.

Have you come across this before ?

Did you also edit the output voltages on the rack pdu's to match? 

The default may look like this

I removed the 208 single entry and replaced it with entries for 230 like this. This seems to resolve the warning for me.

Thank you for responding and apologies for my slow reply.

I checked that one out and it was at 230V,  I am thinking it is because its a single phase rPDU and the actual area PDU is a 3 phase board where the output voltages are all marked down , even though you can put single phase generic breakers in it.

All our AP7175 in lines are not reporting the error....

Hi Stu,
If I understand correctly your rack pdu output voltage might be 240 V (and not 230 (115)), however if you add 230 and 240 V (single phase) to your rack pdus output voltages:

so they are included in rack pdu Voltage Outputs:

then I guess that may resolve the issue. 

Otherwise it would be great to know little about your setup, so I can test it, then the following screen captures could be useful:

PDU:

PDU, properties > Power
PDU, properties > Power > Breaker Panel

and the problem rack pdu:

rack pdu, properties > Power
rack pdu, properties > Power Dependencies
